Butterscotch has always been one of my favourite ice cream/milkshake flavours, but I never quite knew the difference between it and caramel and even toffee for that matter. All involve sugar and butter being "burnt together" but nonetheless, I'm sure to get hooked on anything caramel/butterscotch/toffee flavoured. Hmm come to think of it, perhaps toffee refers to the hard candy, whereas caramels are the soft ones, and butterscotch is just sort of the "sauce"?? [Love the syrupy sweet caramel sauce on the starbuck's coffees....]

Rach came over to "help" me bake these gorgeous Butterscotch flavoured cookies, however I think she got a bit more than she bargained for [I made her do most of the work! ahhaa] All I did was sit and instruct her [well done Rachel!]while giving lots of encouragement [hehee] and here's what we got! Can you smell its lovely aroma wafting through the air?

After taking a bite, we concluded that they had just the right butterscotch-burnt-sugar flavour. Plus they were addictive so we couldn't stop at one. However we had enough restraint to wait until after the photo shoot to gobble them.

Look! Rach even made a smiley face.
