a library list

A patient I visited today said I had such a gorgeous "Chinese" look, and that she just loves Chinese people. I've had that said to me a few times before and it's intriguing how people perceive me here. In Melbourne there were asians everywhere but here I seldom remember that I'm often the only asian person a lot of people meet in their daily lives. It only occurs to me when someone points it out in that manner, and I suppose they might think i'm rather, "exotic"? Hehe. I love learning about other cultures, because it's infinitely interesting. Life would be boring if there were only one culture to enjoy. In our kitchen we've got worchestershire sauce, mirin, gochujang, curry powder, Shaio Hsing wine, pol sambol, vegemite and 2 types of pesto.

Anyway, I thought a list of things one borrows from the library may indicate what they're interested in, so here's mine at the moment:

You borrowed all those from your library??? Generous library! Or are you like one of my friends who belongs to about 15 libraries, and borrows from all of them! I don't know how she keeps up with them. I like most of your selections. Great for these cold nights, to sit and read or watching something interesting on a screen of one kind or another!
